Fun & unique experience! My cousin and I were travelling across Canada and for one of our night-time-rest-stops we stumbled upon this park. Once we found out they had Yurts (and then looked what a Yurt was) we HAD to try it out and were very pleasantly surprised! The Yurt was spacious, more than enough room for a family or for 3-5 friends to stay comfortably. Please note: There is absolutely NO cell phone service. But, there is FREE WOOD for your campfire! Bathrooms/showers were clean, and had lots of toilet paper. Plenty of access to drinking water as well. Last, but not least, I lost my (sentimentally valuable) necklace and the park contacted us and made sure it got back to me. I am definitely going to come back to this park and stay in one of their cozy Yurts again as soon as I can! Highly recommend.

A stunning piece of Manitoba. This's one of the best serviced provincial parks and most accessible. It's a must visit and the spirit sands is a must hike!

Spirit sands is a challenging trail with soft said. During hot sunny days bring lots of water... interesting landscape....

** Very limited cell phone reception in the area. An observation tower in the Sprit Sands is one such spot to get a good reception.

Beautiful place! Be careful going to the sand dunes area in heat, though. It can get incredibly hot.

Made it to the Oasis, the land seems almost alien compared to the rest of Manitoba.

Decently groomed trails. There are some nice lookout points giving good views of the area. The dunes offer a good challenge, with steep slopes and loose sand.
